Auction fees
I’ve recently put up an item for auction which was bossed up to 1000 usd from a new account which I found suspicious, and now I have up to $139 in fees which makes little to no sense since I’ve never sold the item, and simply took it down please help me resolve this issue.

You can go to your Ebay payments and check to see what the fees were for:
Go to your payment account - https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin.

OP1 year agoWhen I click the link you sent it’s telling me it’s from a “charge reversalâ€, “charge to pay for accrued selling costâ€, and “end auction style early listing feeâ€.

When you end a listing at the wrong time or under certain circumstances eBay charges YOU the fees as though the item sold. If the item had bids did you take the time to Cancel the bids before you Ended the listing? Did you use the Reserve price on the item (that fee is charged whether the item sells or not).
Here is a link to the Help pages on Ending a listing, there is a chart that shows when fees will be charged.
Ending a listing | eBay
When you run an auction the intention is for the price to go up, which yours did. So that's what happened but for some reason you panicked and ended the listing. You will have to pay the fees to eBay.

OP1 year agoI removed the bids before I canceled the auction which is why I’m confused about the fee being so high the minimum bid before I ended it was set to $2, yet it’s charging me for the previous bids.

Cancelling bids does not change the highest bid that was placed and if you read the page link I provided the chart shows you that you could be charged fees based on the highest bid.
During an auction you can cancel bids and blocker bidders without ending the auction. No fees apply when you do that outside the last 12 hours of the auction.

Did you use any optional listing upgrades, such as a Reserve Price? Listing upgrade fees are charged at the moment the item is listed, regardless if the item is sold or not.
Do you have a link to the listing or an item #?

OP1 year agoNo I didn’t add a reserved price I didn’t add a buy now as well, but I saw the suspicious bids and removed them once I did that I was getting similar odd bids from other accounts which I then decided to take down the item all together, but the item number is 286176405772.

OP1 year agoI’ve taken it down, it’s now shown as unsold, and my options are to relist, sell similar, or see traffic history, but i don’t understand where the $139 fee came from since the item hasn’t been sold.
