Auction Bids
At the end of the number of days one has set for their auction, if one is not satisfied with the highest bid, does one have to accept or can you just cancel the auction on that item?

·2 years agoNo. That is against the rules you promised to follow. There is no "accepting" a bid or final price, you have a legally binding contract (except in Motor Vehicles and Real Estate) to sell the item to the highest bidder (unless you paid for a Reserve Price and the auction ended "Reserve not met"). S/he pays, you ship.

Sellers should start the bidding at the lowest amount they’re willing to accept for their item so that they aren’t faced with the situation you described.
eBay doesn’t want disappointed buyers.
