Auction Banned
I won and paid for an item this weekend, and even one earlier today. Now tonight I'm banned for not paying for 'two' items...
I'm confused. Stick to Buy it NOW...OR just quit.

·2 years agoIt has nothing to do with those two recent transactions. There were previous transactions where you did not pay within 4 days and the seller cancelled for non-payment. Sellers can block a buyer with 2 or more such "unpaid cancellation records" within the past 12 months or more, but not all do.
Go to your Purchase History and choose the button to show "Returns and cancelled" and go through those to find at least two cancelled for non-payment.
A 100% rating as a buyer means almost nothing. Buyers cannot get a negative (or neutral) no matter whether they don't pay or if they scam the seller or what. eBay stopped allowing sellers to leave anything less than a glowing positive for a buyer in 2008.

Something is not right if you paid for Auctions or Offers recently but then were blocked for 2 Unpaid Item strikes. Those strikes take 12 months to roll off an account so if you had 2 even last week you would have been blocked from bidding or buying.
The default Block setting on Selling accounts is 2 for 12 months, Sellers can change the duration from 1 to 6 or 12 month periods and increase the number of blocks to be above 2.
So again, this is confusing ... check your Purchase history to see if any items were Cancelled on you after 4 days ... THAT is when Unpaid strikes can occur if a Seller cancels using the reason Buyer hasn't paid.
That is how it works ...

OP2 years agothank you for the response. AM an active bidder, %100rating. know made errors, still might? THIS is a different situation. SELLER accepted an offer AFTER they changed auction listing. SELLER sold the SAME item AFTER accepting. Provided me with ONE alternative that wasn't even close to what I had offered.

What you have described is not possible. Once a seller sends an offer, the seller is no longer able to change photos, price, or description field until the offer expires. This is done specifically to prevent what you have described.
If the seller sold another of the same item, it is possible that the seller has more than one to sell.
If the seller is asking to substitute another item, you are under no obligation to agree.

OP2 years agothank you. at least you and Mr. Lincoln are off the SAME talking points. STAY with me.. Seller had an auction #305565599375 for a "rare vintage ATLAS Yellow & Chrome ALLARD Lemans(sic) #1375 ho slot car" Made an offer. We negotiated a body only transaction. HE relisted. I re submitted an offer. HE accepted. THEN seller messages "Oh SOLD THAT ONE." NO duplicates, ONLY others HE would offer. When I saw the pics, OMG NO drivers head, decals WORN. NOT even close to what I negotiated in good FAITH...

This is not at all the scenario you described in your previous posts. You indicated that the seller sent you an offer, waited for you to accept, then made changes to the offer.
I explained to you why that is totally impossible.
Now, you are saying that you made the offer, the seller accepted your offer, contacted you to inform you that the item was previously sold, and sent you photos of other items you may wish to consider. The substitute items are in poor condition and you don’t want them.
Do I have this right now?
So, completely different scenario than originally posted, but the end result will be the same: You are not obligated to accept a substitute item.
If you have already paid/been charged, when the item arrives you can use the eBay 30-day Money Back Guarantee.
You will open a return request for “item not as described.†Follow the process and you will then be fully 100% refunded.
After this, you can leave appropriate feedback for the seller.

OP2 years agoNO! gave you the #305565599375 look at the correspondence time line, you HAVE access. rad-robdog had a vintage slot car listed FOR auction. Was cheeky and offered LESS. Was auto-declined? Sent rob some pic of my track, he did the same. upon many txts to AND fro HE relisted the car so HE could keep the chassis. That is what he does. ALL fine. I offer again, HE accepts[read transcript] LATER he informs, sold to another for $85! was not happy! I STILL tried to salvage the AGREEMENT unti f/u text. Now the SELLERS texts to ME are in the wind... ?

We are NOT eBay employees. We DO NOT have access to anything other than what you tell us (which has changed with every post you have made).
You have been told, repeatedly, that you do not need to accept any form of substitution and how to be fully refunded if you receive anything other than what you agreed to purchase.

Possibly in those most recent transactions, the sellers had not enabled that particular buyer block. Not all sellers understand they have that option.

OP2 years agowhat is all this BLOCKED speak? ARE you AI? Was an open auction. WAS well within my 100% rating to participate. SELLER accepted. THEN re-sold the very SAME item after THEY accepted my offer. Offered me an inferior item. When I baulked, sellers response,..QUOTING "f/u you got hosed" not much negotiating room with a vulgar seller that's a SHILL..?

It is not possible for a seller to send you an offer, wait for you to accept, and then go into the item and change the item or details.
It is not possible to make ANY changes AFTER an offer has been sent, even if the buyer has not yet accepted.
The item cannot be changed or edited until after the offer expires.
eBay does this to prevent exactly what you are claiming to have happened here.
If the seller is trying to substitute the item, simply decline. Say “no.†You are under no obligation to purchase a substitute item.
ALL buyers have 100% feedback. Buyers can get ONLY positive ratings from sellers, so 100% buyer feedback scores are meaningless.

OP2 years agothank you for denigrating the positive rating from sellers themselves. Despite the eye pay ai oh! attempts, actually CONVERSE with a FEW sellers who have enjoyed my candid feedback! As far as how the seller did it? Don't know. He was selling the WHOLE slot car. UPON texts, HE realized I was only interested in the body shell. THAT is when HE changed the listing. I made ANOTHER offer on the NEW body ONLY listing. Rod accepted. THEN informed me HE had sold it to ANOTHER for more money. CLAIMED he had 'other' better ones. Upon viewing, NO drivers head, decals shot! I DECLINED. THEN the message from the seller 'f/u you got hosed' Now here I am. Seller has tried to cover his e-tracks. YOU can see it AND I have screen detailed shots. Thank you for reading. Please help me. This guy HAS my account info...
