Auction Auto Pay
Why does eBay want to automatically process payments to my credit card when I win an auction? The seller (https://www.gregmorriscards.com/auctionsallows) does not require an auction winner to pay for seven days. In the past I have purchased up to 100 items over a five day period before I paid the seller. The seller also allowed combined shipping. I recently added a new credit card and I am required to pay for an auction that I’ve worn within one hour. Today I won 10 auctions at an average price of $1.50 per auction. After I won 10 auctions, I was not permitted to bid on any additional items until I paid. Since the seller does not combine shipping until after the end of the day, I had to pay $1.50 for each item that I won AND I had to pay $4.95 in shipping for each item. Is there a setting that I can change in my account so that I don’t have to automatically pay within the hour? I shouldn’t have to contact the seller…the seller has six hour auctions, seven days a week, with each auction ending about five seconds from one another. Thank-you.

Note (down in the FAQ section) that not all buyers are in the test group, so you might be in the control group that has only 24 hours to pay.

You just joined ebay within the last month and you may still have a New Buyer limit on how much you can spend and/or how many items you can buy/win at one time. eBay places the limit on new buyers until they prove to be a reliable payer. You cannot change the setting.

You can always ask the seller to refund the overcharge when the seller combines shipping. At the rate you are buying items the Limit should be removed soon.
