attempting a return when the seller did state no returns but extenating circumstances
Have been an ebay member since 1999. Never asked for anything in all those years. Last night made a purchase. In the seller's listing stated no returns. This morning experienced deep remorse around the purchase. The listing did state one could cancel. Which I requested. The seller denied my request. I explained to them that even though it was not their responsibility I had made the purchase as a stress purchase. Recently learned that my beloved dog was seriously ill and my way of coping was shopping. Looking at huge Vet bills. I offered to accept even a partial refund if they would allow me to return the item repeatedly have reached out. They now refuse to reply to me. What to do.
What would happen if when the Fed Ex package arrives I refused it? Truly own my behaviour, but who has not made a mistake?

Mentor5 months agoIf a seller has a no returns policy, that is for buyer's remorse, which you clearly state is the reason. Therefore, the seller can decline the request. If you Refuse the delivery, and the package goes back to the seller, you lose your buyer protection, which means the seller is not obligated to refund your money. It is best to accept the delivery and file for a returns request, letting the seller know you will pay for the return shipping. If the seller still declines the return, you can sell it yourself, give it away, or donate it.
