Astronomical selling fees
It’s no big secret EBay has the highest fees of any platform and now becoming the lowest visited site. I was just charged a 6% fee for below standard performance fee; so it’s my fault people aren’t buying off EBay? Also the 13.25% sellers fee AND a 1.65% fee for selling internationally. The younger generations are using instagram and tic tok for selling. I’ve been committed to EBay for 21 years and I’ve had it! Once was an incredible company has no succumb to the greed of the almighty $ penalizing the sellers who pay their checks.
they took away any seller incentive with EBay Bucks. This is how you go out of business!

Mentor3 years agoI can think of 2 other platforms that have higher fees than ebay.
You need to check your Seller Dashboard regularly to see which of the metrics you are not meeting so you can fix the problem that is causing you to be below standard. Slow shipping? Then you may need to increase your handling time. Not getting an acceptance scan? Either use the SCAN sheet or stand in line at the post office to have your packages scanned. Too many orders for transactions not resolved? Solve your buyers problems so that they DO NOT click to Ask ebay to step in.

·3 years agoBeing below standard doesn't have any thing to do with buyers not buying from you.
Check your dashboard and it'll tell you what the problem is and what you need to fix.
How was Ebay Bucks a seller incentive, it was for the buyers.

Ummm...Time to get some facts straight. eBay is the second largest marketplace site by far and the fees are lower than many other sites (if not most) including their biggest competitor.
Since eBay does not sell any merchandise - only ad space, they couldn't be as big as Amazon who sells and stocks products themselves (in competition with the sellers who pay them fees, that are higher than eBay's, to be on the site).
You need to do what it takes to improve your Dashboard metrics to get rid of the below standard fee.
