Arrival date of purchased item later than agreed date with no explanation, just announcement

I am to receive an item on Nov. 13 when it was initially supposed to arrive Nov. 8-10. I frequently purchase items based on probable arrival date. Sometimes time is of the essence. No explanation was given for the delay. Should I give this seller 5 stars or have they kind of violated an eBay rule, at least by offering no explanation?

The arrival date of Nov 8-10 is an ESTIMATED date based on the seller's handling time plus the carrier's estimated transit time. If item actually arrives on Nov 13, that would make it one day past the estimated delivery date. Not bad, if you ask me.

If the carrier is the reason for the delay, nothing the seller could do about that.

Did they ship within their handling time?
