Are these cards fake? I feel like eBay is gaslighting me.
As the title suggests, i purchased cards from an eBay seller. I opened them and didn't think twice. (for context, i used to collect pokemon and yugioh cards back 20 years ago but lost them all and recently decided to get back into the hobby). I reviewed my purchased next to a couple of packs i picked up from a local brick and mortar legit store. They were quite different, the cards felt lighter, the holo was different, the text looked "off". That's when i looked closely and noticed the TM stamp on the back was small and faint, even the centering and color of the blue on the back appeared purple compared to the pack i got in the store. (Blastoise and Ditto are from legit store - other rest are from my ebay purchase) Lastly, the cards i purchased on eBay lack the trademark/copyright text at the bottom of every single one. I recently appealed but it was rejected and now i'm confused as to what to do. The seller has agreed to refund me in chat but i have yet to receive that... I am holding off on writing negative feedback as i try to give people a chance to correct the situation.
Best,

Did you open a not as described refund through eBay? If you did what reason did you use, does not match description or photos should have been the correct one. The seller would be required to send you a refund.
You only have 30 days from the delivery date to open the refund.

OP7 months agoThank you for the replay. I had clicked the "Intellectual Property (IP) infringement" as the reason for report and "counterfeit item" as detailed reason. Should I re-submit with a different reason? I don't see "does not match description of photos".

It sounds like you are trying to report the listing not open a return (refund) request.
Go to your purchase history and in the drop down menu for the item select "return this item, Select "Received wrong item" or "Doesn't match description or photos" for the return reason.
The seller will need to provide a return shipping label if they want the item back. Do not close the return, no matter what the seller tells you, until you are satisfied. The seller does not need you to close it to send a replacement or do a refund. If you close it you will not be able to reopen it. Make sure to monitor any deadlines so you don't miss them.
