Are pictures required for a return?

I am returning a faulty item, the return request requires pictures. It is a carburetor for a leaf blower, pictures will not highlight an internal issue with the part.

Yes I can, but that is unless because there is no external or visible problem with the product. It is an internal or poorly manufactured defect.
