Are other people finding EBay is lying to them or am I alone?
I opened a dispute as a buyer immediately on receiving an expensive item that arrived broken since although the seller agreed to refund, I wanted to be protected since the transaction was nearly $2k and I wanted my bases covered. Ebay would not let me choose "item was broken" or "not as described" so I initially filed under "did not arrive" since what I had ordered was not what I received. I tried to change to "arrived broken" but ebay closed the dispute so I appealed. After time, I reached out and EBay customer service read through the correspondence between the seller and I and the evidence. I was verbally told I would receive a REFUND in 24-48 hours. I received a written message saying they would "get back to me in 24 hours." That was nearly a week ago and I have heard nothing, received no refund, and am unable to rouse any response or way to find out from these yokels just what is going on since they now demand money (via their "premium concierge service") if you want any information beyond the completely inapplicable and unhelpful "automated assistant" they created solely to express their contempt for customers whom they apparently presume are illiterate and unable to see the nonresponsive and unhelpful information it will only provide from the generic articles it has posted in its "help" section.

It sounds like you might have mistakenly filed a "Refund Request" instead of a Return Request.
If your Refund Request is still open, close it and file the Return Request instead.
By the way, there is NO "premium concierge service" and you should NEVER have to pay for Ebay's Customer service.

Mentor1 year agoAre you saying your initial dispute was for an Item Not Received even though you received the item?
What type of item was it or what was the Item Number?
