Applying Combined Shipping Rules
Summary: zor-b-comics, a new eBay seller, is encountering issues with setting up combined shipping rules for their listings. Despite creating a shipping profile and trying various settings, their listings revert to default and do not reflect combined shipping during checkout. rfmtm suggested ensuring that other rules in Shipping Preferences are disabled and checking the Buyer Preferences to resolve the issue.
Hi, so I'm a new seller on Ebay. Long-time buyer. I've preferred to buy from shops that do automatic combined shipping so I wanted to apply this rule to my listings as well. I've noticed the app doesn't give me as many options for posting listings so I moved to my laptop, found the shipping rules, made a shipping profile for flat rate shipping and I went into my existing listings and applied this shipping profile. To check it, I signed out of my account and added a couple listings to my cart and went to checkout as a guest and the shipping isn't being combined. I'm at my wits end. I spent a couple of hours Friday, and now Saturday trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Does it just take a while to take effect? What am I doing wrong? I came back to the listings I'd updated yesterday and they reverted back to "None" under the combined shipping rules.

Keep in mind that eBay only combines weight and not dimensions if you choose a calculated shipping rule so this is NOT a good option for items that may required a box over 1728 inches if combined. Shipping companies all add a surcharge for packages over 1 cubic foot.

Mentor2 weeks agoIf you are using Business Shipping Policies make sure other rules in your Shipping Preferences are turned off.
Also make sure you turn off the immediate advanced payment options in your Buyer Preferences (bottom of page).
Otherwise, your listings are showing you offer combined shipping discounts and should show when someone checks out.
