Appealing a refunds as the seller
I had a package just do nothing after getting scanned at the post office which lead to the buyer requesting a refund .. eBay gave me no other options but to refund the buyer even though the package was scanned at the PO... That was nov 30th 2025.. well the package got delivered yesterday to the buyer... The automated chat says I'm unable to appeal this .. and it keeps giving me a a "something went wrong "message when I request to speak to an agent.. and the phone number automated system refused to transfer me to a agent either.??? Am I just out this money even though the item was finally delivered?? Why was I left to cover the mistake of the USPS? I did my part I provided tracking and dropped the package at the PO promptly after payment.. why was I forced to cover this issue?? And what's goin on with the chat not connecting to an agent been that way for me for days on the app and the pc

eBay has no way to undo a refund, so I do not think appealing will help you.
You can contact the buyer and see if the buyer actually received it and is willing to either make another payment if you send an invoice or else send the item back if you provide a prepaid label, but you have no leverage and must rely entirely on the buyer's good will.
If you had purchased shipping insurance you could have pursued a claim from the USPS prior to the actual delivery, but at this point I do not think you have much recourse for a package delivered over two months late.

OP7 months agoI actually filed a lost package claim with USPS and nothing came of it... Ice messaged the buyer but doubt I'll get a favorable reply... The package was cover up to 100 with USPS as well... But they didn't ever seem to do anything towards it
