Appeal resolved with refund, but then the item was delivered
Summary: timgrubbs received a refunded item from eBay after a delivery delay, only for it to arrive later. They contacted the seller for guidance on returning or paying for the item but received no response. Attempts to reach eBay for further assistance resulted in frustration with their automated support system. timgrubbs is seeking advice on whether to pay the seller directly, return the item, or keep it.
I ordered an item, and after two weeks of problems with the seller and delivery issues, I ultimately opened a case with eBay and after an appeal was refunded the purchase price. Then, several days later, the item was finally delivered to me. I contacted the seller asking how I could either pay or return the item, and they have not given any guidance. I try to contact eBay, but just get stuck in their "Contact Us" AI agent loop and can't get a real person. There doesn't seem to be any method to "appeal" the appeal... How do I proceed? Do I pay the seller directly? Do I just send the item back? Do I just keep it?
Help! :)

If the seller hasn't responded, just keep it.
The seller may have been refunded already
If the buyer opened an Item Not Received case, and you refunded through the case,
Seller will get an automatic refund if
- they used eBay Shipping labels
- they shipped on time.

Now, if you use eBay labels and ship your items on time, we’ll reimburse you once we detect delivery.
