appeal closed without explanation
I purchased a Yamaha MG12XU mixer that was delivered on March 12, 2026. It initially appeared to work, but when I later tested the built‑in effects processor, it completely failed. After thorough troubleshooting, the issue points to a defective input board — the effects will not function on the microphone channels at all.
What makes this even worse is the extremely short return window. eBay closed the return period on March 26, barely two weeks after delivery. I only use the mixer once a week, so the defect didn’t reveal itself until after the return window had already expired.
This is unacceptable for a brand‑new mixer. A product with a hardware failure this early should be eligible for return or replacement, and a two‑week return window does not protect customers from defects that only appear with normal use. I contacted eBay and appealed, and they denied it with no explanation. As I look at the site I see the same company selling the same mixer (which most likely is another defective mixer) and yet eBay ignores my request.
