Appeal a refund denial
I recently ordered an item on eBay and it says it was delivered. The shipping information on the label is not my information as verified with FedEx over three different calls. Seller told me to request refund through PayPal and they denied it. I called eBay on Wednesday to appeal it and it’s been two days and I haven’t heard anything. eBay AI won’t let me speak to a representative. Anybody have any ideas on what my next step is or did i get screwed over and should close my eBay and PayPal accounts for life?

I wish you had come here prior to contacting PayPal. Once you go to your payment method, I am not sure eBay will be able to help you.
I'm sorry that happened.
1) You've already done homework by contacting FedEx to ask about the address on the label. Ask if they will put this in writing; it's helpful, but not required. (They won't tell you whose name *is* on the package, only that your name and address *is not*.) Also, ask for the weight of the package using that tracking number. Follow the rest of the steps starting with 2 below:

Then click 'View More Details' to see the package weight. Screenshot that.
2) Then, report the seller using this process

Important, select "Suspicious seller activity"
then "Other"
Explain that the seller is using fake USPS tracking numbers
Include these phrases
Don't write a novel, it's initially being read by a computer, that's why I want you to use those 3 specific phrases in the message.
3) Finally, contact Customer Service and inform them that the seller uploaded a "false tracking number" on your purchase. Share any documentation you gathered. Request a refund.
Use the Customer Service that is on social media this way:

Just sent a private message to the page. Explain you have a fake or false tracking number situation.
Let me know how this goes, I've been burned a few times myself (including on Amazon), but I have been able to get a refund following this process.
If eBay is unable to help you, provide those same documents in an APPEAL to PayPal.

OP7 months agoI’ve never had a problem with eBay in the 10 years I’ve been on here. I already tried to get a statement or documentation from FedEx stating the address on the label doesn’t match my information and they said they cannot provide it since I’m not on the label which is highly ironic and frustrating. I appreciate your help, but I will definitely flag the seller as suspicious. I am so upset over eBay and PayPal and I’m canceling both
