Anyone have any other tips for getting me off the Ebay Naughty Step before....June 2025?!
Hello, any tips are welcome.
I'm a low level seller of secondhand clothing as I try to downsize. A few times over the summer I sold a few items already listed on Ebay at car boots and yep, every weekend, that was when someone chose to buy said same item on Ebay! Of course this was not good and since then I have a separate 'Ebay stuff only' half of the shed but they have, on the back of this, restricted my account a lot to the point where it's very hard to get any views at all. basically, I was so keen to refund the buyers, I'd refund from the app, which has limited options for 'reason for refund', so had to use the 'item is out of stock' one. For being proactive and truthful, my 16 year old account is trashed. Spoke to a very nice rep today and I'd hoped that, as this happened back in September, I could at least get things back up by December but the strikes won't come off until next blooming summer. They've increased my sales from 40 to 300 but what good will that do if nobody sees the items, I cannot make offers, etc? I'm depressed to realise that if I'd just taken the hit with negative feedback and refunded the buyers more slowly, I would currently have a better account on Ebay. Looks like I will have to pause for 6 months. have a shed full of family stuff to move on and no no viable means to sell it on. Opening a shop won't work as I'm a private seller and the stock isn't really high-value enough, just good second-hand homeware and clothing. Any suggestions welcome...I'm listing my best stufff at low prices and I have always had great feedback...but is it worth it when Ebay is telling the world I am a 'sub standard seller'?
