Anyone else have issues with receiving the pre sale Weird Barbie from seller
I won this pre sale auction for the Weird Barbie, i had some doubts as they were selling quite a few of the pre sale doll, i am a Mattel member and missed out on the window to purchase through Mattel. I double checked and there were no order limits for this doll, I unfortunately did not listen to myself and decided to go ahead and take chance and placed a bid which i ended up winning. The seller did send a letter stating i had won and given that the delivery time frame would be after 90 days they had to send a letter to buyers so they had the shipping information. I contacted the in May after i saw sellers were receiving the dolls from Mattel and seller wrote back they are starting to receive their orders and they should be shipping mine out within a week or two. It is now July 27th and after multiple requests for shipping update since i have not received the doll i have not hear back since the may response. I sent a message to seller on 6/21, 7/5, 7/17 and the last message sent to them on 7/24. I have not seen any feedback left for them from anyone that won the pre sale Weird Barbie dolls so i am starting to think i may have been taken. I have always thought twice before bidding on a pre sale but for some reason i felt this seller was reputable and took a chance, i cannot ask for refund since its been past the time frame. So i guess i spent a little over $90 for a letter from seller stating they would ship out the doll once they received them. I am posting this to see if anyone else has had an issue with this seller and not receiving the Weird Barbie they won or purchased.

Mentor2 years ago@silver10travel I am sorry there are SOOOO many presale listings on eBay that violate site policy that it's very disappointing that eBay doesn't catch more of these bad sellers.
Per eBay policy sellers are only allowed to list Pre-sale items that they can guarantee shipment of within 40 days of the date of the sale.
A buyer can only file a not received refund request on eBay for up to 30 days from the last estimated delivery date.
After that date is passed if the buyer used PayPal to check out they can file a PayPal not received refund request up to 180 days from the date of the purchase. Or it PayPal was not used then the buyer has to contact their bank or credit card for a charge back.

OP2 years agoThank you for your response, i will definitely look out for this type of situation from now on and listen to my gut feelings. I am chalking it up to a lesson learned the hard way, after years on eBay, i should have known better.
I appreciate your taking the time to reply.
