Any tips for dealing with a reluctant seller--item not shipped after a couple of weeks?
I recently bought an expensive lamp via ebay. I offered $425 instead of the original Buy It Now Price of $500. My debit card was charged for the sale, tax, and shipping. Item has not been shipped, after a couple of weeks. Seller says the item has been returned to them twice, and they don't understand why it keeps being returned.
I'd like to complete the transaction, but I suspect the seller would rather not. I wonder if the way forward is to have them cancel the transaction, refund me, and then re-list the item, after which I would pay the full $500. Perhaps then the item would find its way here.
Any other suggestions? Do I just open a case with ebay? I don't want to be impolite or unpleasant with the seller.
