Any advice on getting Ebay, seller, or Allstate to refund my money
I bought a used tape drive from an Ebay seller. At the same time I purchased the Allstate insurance. The tape drive arrived and we worked on it for a month trying to get it to function. Nothing worked and finally determined the drive is bad. Allstate says that since it didn't ever work, that they won't cover it. The seller refuses to take it back saying to go to Allstate. Now I'm out $900 for a brick of a tape drive. This just isn't right. I deserve some compensation for this. Ebay's site just says case closed with no explanation and that's it, with no ability to reach them. Terrible way to do business in my opinion. Anyone have any advice to get either the Ebay, the seller or Allstate to make things right? This whole experience will make me think twice before ever buying on Ebay again.
