An item that I have been bidding on has twice been canceled/ removed.
The first time it was listed the dreaded Swastika was displayed but the second time listed it was covered. Of course ebay advised me to check the reason my bid was canceled by checking the auction page under bidding but the page was removed in its entirety, the whole auction was removed . This is the second time that I have been frustrated with my attempts to win an item. I see WW2 German memorabilia with certain symbols displayed or partially covered and the auction completes normally. What gives?

Nazi memorabilia cannot be listed covered or not .
Feel free to report any you find.

OP2 years agoNope, I collect WW2 German Nazi items and I have personally seen them run the 7 day course of a normal auction. I track things that either I am interested in or have placed a bid on. Ebay seems entirely capricious on what they allow to continue or completely eliminate. In this case the seller was unaware of the policy the first try and corrected it the second time to no avail. I wish that I had noted the seller ID the second time around but I really thought it was corrected and that the auction would run it’s course. Hah jokes on me!!

OP2 years agoReplying to the second part of your reply to me. Bet me, there are hundreds if not multiples of hundreds of Nazi items. I look through them several times a day.

OP2 years agoOh, and why would I report those things, I collect them and frankly I don’t see Nazi memorabilia as anything other than historical.
