In addition to what @whattheactualfox has provided the "Edit" function on your account addresses page ( Addresses Settings) does NOT change the address deep in the program so you actually have to ADD a new address and then DELETE the old one. This was reported to eBay quite a while ago but we are not sure if they ever fixed it.
I discovered that the address in my account was the correct current address and assumed that was the address eBay had for all my needs. Only after lengthy hunting did I discover there was a selling return address that had never been updated. If I may say that is very confusing and should be more obvious to sellers like myself.
Hi @gormun as a seller, it is your responsibility to make sure that you have the correct address on your account, as this is what is used for returns, billing, etc..
As far as getting the item back, that would be more of going to the address and trying to get the package back. It's not something eBay or the post can do as they were obligated to ship to the address given/on file
Your primary shipping address is the default we’ll provide to sellers when you buy an item. However, you can always select a different address, or add a new one, during checkout.
You can find all the addresses you use on eBay, including your registration address and primary shipping address, in the Addresses - opens in new window or tab section of My eBay. It’s a good idea to regularly review your addresses and update any that you no longer use. You can also add or update your address from the checkout page.
You can also review, add, or update your addresses at any time in My eBay:

Yes, Sellers have 5 addresses to set up ... it can seem like a lot.
