An incorrect delivery occurred What should I do?
Summary: sadkiss123_5 reported an issue with a $2,500 clothing purchase on eBay that was misdelivered by USPS to someone named "JJ." Despite opening a case on eBay and providing USPS confirmation of the misdelivery, eBay ruled in the seller's favor after the seller submitted the delivery signature as proof. The participant is seeking advice as eBay has stopped responding to their attempts to resolve the situation.
I bought an expensive piece of clothing (around $2,500) on eBay, but USPS misdelivered it. They delivered it to someone named "JJ" who signed for it—and I'm definitely not JJ.
I opened a case on eBay requesting a refund, but the seller uploaded that delivery signature as proof, and eBay went ahead and closed the case in their favor.
So I contacted USPS directly and got an email response from them confirming the issue. I shared that email with eBay, but now they’re just ignoring me and not responding at all. What should I do?

Mentor1 month agoSorry this happened to you. Ask the USPS if the name and address on the shipping label was your name and address. If it was then eBay will not help you as this was a USPS delivery problem and not a problem caused by eBay or the seller. Keep in mind that a signature requirement only means that a signature is obtained from somebody and it is not necessarily your signature that is required.
eBay would only help you if the seller placed a different name and address on the package.
You can try going to your payment source for help but there is a good chance they will not help you given the USPS admitted this was there problem.
