Amount (is it $2,500 or $500) for calendar year 2026 to receive a 1099 form

Just checking to see what the dollar amount is for 2026 sales on eBay. Last year for 2025 if one sold less than $2,500 they didnâ€™t receive a 1099 interest form. There were discussions about keeping it at the same limit- $2,500 or reducing it to $500 for 2026.

I also heard this could be an ongoing yearly thing going forward in 2026 - eBay sellers contact their politicians to leave it at $2,500 or even increase it to $5,000, not at $500
In the past I believe the amount was $20,000 before receiving a 1099 from eBay.

Your State went back to the old limits of at least 200 transactions and a minimum of $20,000 with each payment processor. Keep in mind that not receiving a 1099-K does not mean that you do not have to claim the income on your tax return.
