Amending an insurance claim
Hi all - I shipped an item to a buyer and it was destroyed on its way. I filed a claim with eBay, but filed the wrong amount. I filed he claim for the net I received, about $150 less than the purchase price rather than the gross that I am going to have to refund to the buyer. The claim has been approved but have not received payment yet. Does anyone know how and if a claim can be amended once it is submitted and approved? Thanks for any help you may give. Peace! (One would think that after 30 or so years selling on eBay, one would have smartened up a little - sadly - does not appear to be the case. 😂 )
