Amazon Hidden Purchase and Shipping
I don't like the fact that I purchased an item from E Bay but it turns out I bought it from Amazon. I'm trying to avoid this for many reasons (Bezos) The shipping part is even more infuriating indicating it shipped from Colorado I received it 1 hour later meaning it shipped from my local Amazon distribution. I'm sure a drone couldn't get it here that fast. I think this is false info from the seller.

I suspect it's also false info that you were delivered an item one hour after you ordered it. 😉
That said, many sellers sell on more than one platform. If they sell on Amazon ... then Amazon will deliver their packages when they are ordered from other selling venues.

Mentor1 year agoSome sellers sell on both ebay and Amazon, and send their inventory to Amazon. When a purchase is made, it is shipped from Amazon using FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon). That is perfectly fine with both marketplaces. What is NOT fine is a seller who lists an item on ebay, and when it is purchased, goes to Amazon and uses their prime account to purchase the item. You will know if you receive a "Guest" receipt in your package. You can report the seller to ebay and Amazon.

Mentor1 year agoIt may not be possible to always identify in advance those users who drop ship, but it is possible to identify some common characteristics of illicit retail drop shippers or other under-performing sellers, and thus avoid the worst of them.
Often they can be spotted by a combination of low feedback number, free shipping of heavy items, use of stock photos, high handling time (not necessarily if they are using Amazon, though), poor feedback received with complaints of delays and wrong items or out of stock cancellations, very odd item selection and/or quantities as if items were chosen at random from a catalog, canned item descriptions scraped from another site, differences between registration location and item location (or vague item location -- like "US, United States"), or inability to answer even basic questions about the items being sold.

·1 year agoThere are sellers that sell on both websites and use Amazon fulfillment services to ship to all their customers.
