Am I the only one with FedEx issues for return? It might be time to close my account?
Long story long.... Twice now in as many weeks I have purchased items (one of nominal cost, the other of a bit of a chunk of change), both turned out to be NOT what they claimed to be upon arrival. Everything is documented on video, send photos and sellers agree to return.
No issue, start a return and drop off at LITERAL FEDEX FACILITY . In both instances handed them directly to a FED EX employee at a distribution center (an actually high volume processing/shipping center). One item (the pricey one) was "destroyed" their words via call, the "resolution email" just said "damaged and unusable"... Semantics after many stops on its way back to the seller.
The other item just disappeared at the facility? Called they said Oops it been over 5 days so you have to make a claim? Going through that now... and if you know, you know (and that's their game). Not worth the time or effort, waiting, back and forth for under a hundred dollars.
The other item (pricey), no info and they still have not returned it, keeps getting "delayed", started an investigation FedEx agent replied days later" item destroyed, full loose... File a claim"???
I buy a lot of this particular type of item on eBay, hundreds a year (several thousand dollars worth). Been doing so for 10 years now and if I cant get the items undamaged/fake/etc, and return them WITHOUT this garbage from FEDEX,... Whats the point of using eBay?
I guess this is more of a cathartic exercise to the great void that was eBay... Already told my CC the transaction was fraudulent, if you use PayPal you understand why, eBay's "guarantee" means jack if it cost more to deal with MULTIPLE garbage sales, return non-human agents, etc.
Yeah, I guess that about covers it. Its been fun eBay. I like so many of my other compatriots are done with this once awesome platform. This is my "see-ya" (you will no this is the case once all my purchases are in and the aforementioned claim gets completed).
Yours truly
