Am I being scammed by eBay?
I purchased an iPad from a store and they seem to have lost my order. They have no recollection of where it is but somehow a tracking number was provided but no more information. UPS has no idea where the package is either and they’re not responding to my request. I called eBay and the gentleman I spoke to from India said I need to go purchase an eBay card for $100 and then he’ll walk me through the steps on getting refunded I got to spend another hundred dollars?

Mentor3 years agoYou did not call eBay; you called a scammer that wants to steal from you.
The only way to contact eBay is through the Help & Contact page to request a chat with an agent or a call back in North America. eBay does not have a phone number for you to call, but scammers do.
Make sure you are signed in to the same eBay account you used to make the original purchase.
If you purchased as a guest, sign out of your current eBay account and use the link in the email that eBay sent regarding the guest purchase.
