am I being scammed?
I purchased an item and the seller hasn't shipped the product. Do sellers get paid when they print a shipping label? That's all they did. If it's under 100 dollars does ebay actually do anything? Trying to get help from ebay is incredibly difficult.

OP2 years agoThank you for the fast and informative reply. The shipper was supposed to be FedEx. iTracking on FedEx site notes no package received but a label was created. Presumably by the shipper. FedEx scans packages the day received for legal reasons to protect the shipping customer and for FedEx records. The same goes for USPS and UPS. It's been 10 days since the label was created, I'm pretty sure the seller isn't going to ship it. It's more than likely they do not have the item. I do know my credit card was charged by ebay. I'll have to wait two more days to file a claim.

·2 years agoNo. They don't get paid upon creating a label. If there is a hold on the funds it is not released until some time after tracking shows delivery.
Just because there are no further scans doesn't mean the seller has not delivered it to the carrier. Not all packages get "acceptance scans."
If you don't get a package from the seller by the time the estimated delivery date you were given when you paid has fully passed, go to your Purchase History for that item, click the link for more options and select that you haven't received the item, then follow instructions from there. If you haven't gotten the item as described or a full refund after 3 days (but before 21 days) from doing so go back and you should find a link to "Ask eBay to step in" to get your refund.
