Am I being ripped off by eBay or UPS?
I purchased a shipping label on eBay for an item using UPS Ground and my account was charged $233.20, then eBay charged my account again $1,295.50 supposedly for under charged shipping label for that item. The shipment is under 80 lbs shipped to a customer less than 60 miles away, ground service. Contacted customer service representative who agreed that it's a mistake and supposedly opened a dispute with UPS and assured us that a refund should be issued within few days and we will get an email confirmation within 48 hours. Followed up with several calls over 8 days, since I haven't received the confirmation email and it just repeating the same thing over and over and no one really wants to do anything. Contacted UPS with the tracking number and they refused to handle this issue with me without eBay account number. My last communication with eBay customer service today was just ridiculous, the representative was trying to explain to me how UPS charge extra on parcels that is over weight or over size, even though, he was told that what was calculated at was actual and correct weight and measurements.
Have you ever had a situation like this? I would really appreciate your thought.
