Allstate protection for new order

My husband purchased a shelter logic cover and the 3 year protection plan. He returned the cover- it was the wrong one- and ordered the correct one. After the fact, eBay cancelled and refunded the cost of the protection plan. But not knowing they would do that, he did not take it out on the new one. He wants the insurance plan. Is there a way to get it now? The eBay customer service rep said it should have been offered in the confirmation email. He did not get that. Can anyone help with this?

Mentor1 week agoIf the item you are purchasing qualifies for an Allstate Protection Plan, you have the option to purchase it directly from the item description page prior to checkout. After checkout, you can still purchase it from the payment confirmation page or through your post-purchase reminder email.

OP1 week agoThere is no confirmation email offering the protection plan. Apparently many people have had this issue and gotten the same info. The 40 day window is incorrect, at least through eBay.
