Allowing a potential buyer to inspect a "local pickup" item before purchase.
The item is a large telescope that the potential buyer is not sure it will fit in his vehicle for transport. Ebay is saying I cannot share my address or phone number before purchase.

You cannot share contact info before the purchase, so there is no way to let him see it before making the purchase. The buyer can purchase the item, you can cancel it if he changes his mind.
On a local pickup, you can allow cash at pickup, so he doesn’t have to pay up front, if you want to do that. In the pricing section of your listing page, you can turn on ‘allow offline payments’.
