Alleged policy violation
Regarding Item ID: 227266107355 . No attempt to sell outside of ebay has been made. I included a link to an article that references the contribution carpet spikes make to audio fidelity in my speaker stand listing.

The problem was that you posted a link to went to a site outside of eBay which could provide, but probably not in your case, a path to a sale from another site rather than from eBay. It's not an alleged policy violation, it IS a policy violation which you probably weren't aware of.
There are over 2 billion active listings on eBay. eBay cannot investigate each individual link a seller might post so they just do not allow links to be used in listings.

OP5 months agoSo... the "policy" treats the innocent as if they committed a crime. I just L O V E that. I only tried to provide information that might increase the odds of the item selling.

You are not being treated as if you committed a crime. Most policy violations are not crimes. The policy is that links in listings are not allowed. If there is a link in a listing, eBay automatically removes the listing. A human, as I explained, does not even see it.
I understand why you put the link in there. But there are other listings with links that could not so innocently increase the chance of selling. The computer program doesn't know the difference, it only knows that there is a link and links are not allowed.

OP5 months agoI'm innocent of the A.I. accusation. I finally found a way to say most of what I wanted to say, without triggering the ebay police.
