AI Has Taken Over And Anything Goes When Listing Whether Right Or Wrong
Reporting a listing claiming "open box" on a used pair of boots?
"We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made using automation or artificial intelligence."
Reporting ink refill kits listed in "ink cartridges" when they should be listed in "refill kits"?
"We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made using automation or artificial intelligence."
I have been an eBay member for over 23 years. Finding what I wanted in the price range I desired used to be quick and easy and only bring up relevant results. Filtering for "US only" used to only bring up only US sellers. There didn't used to be results that came up with a price range only to have to go to the listing, select from a menu, and find that either what you were searching for was unavailable or way above the price searched for.
How many more "improvements" is eBay going to make before their ship sinks?
eBay has gone from quality of listings to quantity. With Marketplace, which is currently a real hassle, for used items, and Amazon for the same new stuff sold here, and eBay getting away from the basics that made it so great I predict their demise in the next 5 years.
