aftermarket auto accessory

Question

before I make the purchase of the part which is---a two piece kit of a roof rail rack for a chevy trax---I need to

know how it is fastened to the roof--- 1) does the roof need to have the factory studs on the roof 2) do I need to drill holes in the roof 3) are there brackets that I have to attach to the roof and how 4) is it attached by using an adhesive of some kind that is provided----in reading the comments one of the customers stated that the instruction were very poor that is why I need to know how it is mounted before I make the purchase I will be waiting for your answer
