After spending 27:32 mins. on line with one of your representatives from the Philippines ,I asked to
speak to a supervisor. This took an additional 14:21 mins. Somehow we were disconnected while we were talking.
My issue was : I was trying to buy a baseball card online, the seller is from New York, when I hit the pay button it stated the seller did not ship to S.C. The only thing I could get out of the first rep. was for me to change my address. this is my home address and I receive items here all the time.
I was just trying to find out why? If The seller is not go to ship to certain states in the US, he should put that upfront so I do not waste my time looking at his items.

< it stated the seller did not ship to S.C. >
Don't focus on the S.C. part. The message – incidentally, it was sent by eBay, not by the seller – said South Carolina because that's where you are. If I were to try to buy the same item, the message would say does not ship to Nebraska, because that's where I am. The seller has done something wrong in his details and it won't work until he fixes it.

OP1 year agoYes, I tried to contact the seller, with no response.
Why does e-bay have sellers who do not sell the product when it is listed as “ a price or best offer “ offered the listed price and you listed it as sold. Then the seller said he could not send the item to South Carolina , your staff advised me to change my address.

Mentor1 year agoYou said when you hit pay now it showed the seller doesn't ship to north carolina. When you messaged the seller they said they couldn't ship there?

Mentor1 year agoHave you messaged the seller? A seller can't set blocks for states to not allow. This means the seller very likely has something set up incorrectly which won't allow anyone to buy it unless fixed.

eBay is not here; this is a user forum. The folks reading and responding here do not work for eBay, they are buyers and sellers like you.
If both you and the seller are in the US, the error message you received may indicate that the seller has not set up shipping correctly for that listing.
