After paying for an item, seller sends message item was already SOLD

Question

Purchased and item from the seller. Sent a message that I was not in a hurry so, please package the item well.

Seller responds "Sorry, the item has already been sold". So, now I am confused a little and respond back that I was the one that purchased it.

He finally responds that someone came by his house (after I won the Bid) and gave him more more than the winning bid and picked up the item so now he won't have to ship it either. Said he was not going to accept the money I sent him (winning bid).

So, now I am **bleep** and want eBay to punish this guy. How long has he been doing this type of stuff?

How can I contact a real person at eBay?

@shelbyguru Sorry you had a bad seller. Have they refunded you yet? If not then they should cancel the sale as out of stock damaged and issue a refund. Canceling for that true reason gives the seller a defect on their account. It takes just a few defects, that can be earned for other reasons too, will result in the seller being banned for from eBay.
