After I press "buy now" a message error "something went wrong. Please try check out again" follows
This occurs at every attempt to buy something on eBay. I have tried to get an answer from eBay but none as yet. I need to buy an item several of which appear on this site but cannot make a purchase. The purchase page fails to appear but the error message comes up every time. HELP ME PLEASE to understand what is going on and how it can be fixed, and by whom.

Is this the eBay account you normally use? When was the last time you made a successful purchase using this account?
Do you have a valid payment method linked to your eBay account?
What browser are you using? Latest version?
Any difference if you try another browser?
