After a sale, we decided to hand delivery the item, how do we now get delivered status for sale?
After the sale, we decided to hand delivery the item, and refund the paid delivery charge, because the buyer lives very close. How can we now get delivered status, because of no tracking #? We entered, LOCALPICKUP04162025, where you add a tracking #, but doesn't seem to matter

Mentor1 year agoThe proper way to have done this is to add the Pickup option to the listing or invoice before the buyer paid. This way buyer gets a pickup confirmation cord for you to scan or enter before you release the item to them.
If buyer has not picked up the item cancel the transaction and follow the above instructions. Otherwise you will just have to mark it shipped without tracking and hope buyer is honest and doesn't claim he never received the item. You also will now have to wait your full hold time before you funds will be released.

OP1 year agoWe didn't realize that the buyer only lives a short distance from us until after the sale. If we can get the buyer to leave feedback saying that the item was delivered on time, would that help, as far as Ebay is concerned?

Mentor1 year agoAlso have then sign a copy of the packing slip or order details it was received. This still will not eliminate the hold on your funds or the ding on you shipping metric, but may help in a dispute.
