aeller wants payment by money order
I am buying an old boat through Ebay. The seller wants payment by money order with a $500 processing fee. They do not want money through Ebay. Sounds phony to me. Who do I contact to be assured that the deal is good?

OP2 years agoFinally got contacted by sell after I filed a third complaint. He blamed it all on Ebay. Said the boat was no longer for sale, I could by another of his boats without the service fee and offered a gift card. None of which I received. He did however change the company name. And I am still on the hook to Ebay for a boat that they won't sell. Ebay did eventually come through. Just not well or in time.

Was the item listed ON Ebay by an Ebay seller?
Money orders are not an acceptable method of payment on Ebay.
