advikce to sellers new to selling
Noticed in creating a listing that specified BIN price only, upon reviewing the drafts a few day later, all the drafts had the auction button set to on, as well as the best offer button set to on, for a price 1/4 of the BIN price. You have to select a drop down menu; "more options" to turn these buttons to off. Very poor design.
I am positive on the original drafts these options were set to off, as I would never use auction, or best offer. Upon review of the drafts in preparation to list, both the auction button, and the best offer button had mysteriously switched to on, (NOT BY ME) with the best offer price about 1/4 of the BIN price. apparently with automatic acceptance (did not see where to deselect this option).
Several items were converted to list from the draft file. Did not notice on one item (?) missed pushing the auction and best offer buttons to off, or the very low automatic best offer price (1/4 of the BIN price) upon review of the active auction. Result: A very angry buyer who thought they had a real bargain.
Notice also on two different E-Bay id's the screens are different for drafting/selling an item.
