Advice regarding a secondhand bike in saleable condition
I've bought a second hand child's mountain bike for £255 2 weeks ago. I've taken it to a bike shop for a service and discovered it requires new forks which cost £300 (plus fitting). The listing made clear it was second hand and I guess you buy what you see, however, it did say everything was in working order and it's clearly not. I've been a member for 15+ years but never dealt with anything like this. Any advice on whether i can seek compensation or is it tough luck? For ref I have already contacted the seller but heard nothing back. I paid via paypal. Any advice gratefully received. Thanks
