Address for a return not listed on seller's site
I bought a paper cutter from Texalan Tools Store, which lists itself as being located in California. Initially I intended to return the item. The return address sent me was: SUZHOUBONATE INT TRADING CO LTD,
ROOM 407 NO 391 SU HONG DONG ROAD, SUZHOU INDUSTRIAL PARK, SUZHOU 215000. This address isn't listed on seller's site. The return to China would cost more than the item, so I closed my return. Then I thought about it and decided it was weird. I contacted the seller, who then gave me the California address, but it was still as much as, or almost as much as I paid for the item, so I decided to keep it. So on the plus side, first, the seller responded very quickly with the California address, and second, the item works well. However, it's my understanding that sellers are supposed to be transparent with their location, which this one wasn't. I thought about contacting eBay about this, but I really don't want to report them for fraud, particularly since the seller corrected that issue promptly. I can't find another way to let eBay know about the address in China.
Any thoughts?

Mentor2 years agoThe seller is located in California. If you want to return an item, you are only required to ship the item back to an address specified that is also located in the USA. The seller can then deal with his supplier in China.
