You can open a second ID - you need a second email address. Then it is just like setting up your first ID.
Personally, I would post your different items under your current ID that has history - buyers prefer to buy from sellers with some experience. I don't think buyers care about items all being similar, or a seller offering a variety of goods for sale. The only exception I would make would be for adult items.
If you open a second ID, eBay will link them together, so your existing selling limits will be shared by both. You will get a separate allotment of free listings.
