Add stated buy pays shipping but system did not charge shipping

Question

I set up an add to sell an item with the option for local pickup (no shipping) or a fixed amount that the BUYER would pay to ship (outside local area). When ebay closed sale, shipping for outside local area was not charged.

How do I recoup my shipping funds?

@du755680 You made a mistake on your listing. It has free flat rate freight. You can not charge the buyer more shipping than stated on the listing. https://www.ebay.com/itm/336210318248

If you want the buyer to pay shipping you must select buyer pays> calculated and enter the package weight and size when you are creating the listing.

Your choices are to ship and consider the cost your eBay Tuition. I paid a little tuition on a shipping error when I first started selling then I bought a postal scale.

Or you if you really don't want to go through with the sale then you cancel as out of stock. You will get a DEFECT on your account which seriously hurts your seller account AND the buyer will most likely leave negative feedback.
