Actual shipping cost more then what was charged to the buyer
I just made a sale. The listing was set up for USPS Ground advantage. I entered the package dimensions and weight so the buyer could pay for shipping and all I had to do was print the label from eBay. The buyer was charged $7.61 for shipping but when I printed the label out I was charged $10.71. Why didn't the dollar amounts match?

OP1 year agoWell that answers it. I thought it was set to calculated cost by default. I just entered package size and weight and moved on. I will be more careful next time.

Apparently you did not use "Calculated: Cost varies by buyer location". when getting the calculated cost. Then the buyer would see the actual cost from your location to theirs. Open the link below to see how to set that up in the future.

Unfortunately, you will have to ship the item for the cost you provided and eat the loss, or risk getting a defect on your account.

Mentor1 year agoAre you certain that you chose Calculated shipping in the listing? When I look at your recently sold item, it shows a shipping cost of $7.61 to me on the West Coast and the same cost if I use a New York Zip code.
It's not likely that it would cost the same to both locations by USPS ground advantage.
I cannot see how you listed the shipping or the weight and size that you used.
What is the size and weight of the package? Did you use USPS ground advantage to ship?
