Active/Inactive listing count inconsistency after batch End Listings + export mismatch
I’m trying to report an issue to eBay (but weirdly I can't) a data integrity issue following use of the End Listings tool.
I started with 1744 Active listings and 0 Inactive listings.
I used the standard End Listings batch tool and selected 200 listings.
Result: 200 listings appeared in Inactive, which is expected.
However:
Active listings should have dropped to 1544, but instead showed 1545 (after several hours).
This indicates one listing was moved to Inactive but not removed from Active.
While investigating (no edits, no relists, no drafts, no other users on the account):
I only searched listings and exported reports.
After this, the Active count changed again to 1546, without any listing activity.
Additionally:
The Inactive export does not match what is visible in Seller Hub, including at least one listing present in the export that cannot be found in the web interface.
Summary of issues:
Batch End Listings appears to have failed to fully remove at least one listing from Active.
Active listing count is changing without user actions.
Exported data does not match the web interface (missing or inconsistent records).
This suggests a sync/indexing or data consistency issue between listing state, counts, and exports.
Please investigate:
Listing state consistency across Active/Inactive
Accuracy of Seller Hub counts
Accuracy of CSV exports vs actual listing state
I saw a (I thought random) popup earlier asking if I needed to call eBay but I didn't know the extent of the issue. Any thoughts?

OP4 months agoThanks, I did that...will again. Also weird that it would grow by 1 - after more than 12 hours since the Ending listings.

You might try looking at another browser to see if the counts match (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.).

When I look at your active items in search, I see 1,544 listings.
If you still see the discrepancy, try clearing your cache and cookies and looking again.
