Active Listing Glitch?
I list an item, it sells, I ship it. A week later I discover that the item is still actively listed for sale in my eBay store. This seems to be occurring more and more frequently. Perhaps it is because more and more of my items have sold in recent weeks.
I am trying to discern if I am having a browser issue [(Google Chrome Version 127.0.6533.89 (Official Build) (64-bit)] or if there is some sort of glitch on eBay.
I will be working in my store and suddenly I see many items that have sold and that are no longer in stock. I also notice that my feedback is very outdated. I refresh the page and it becomes slightly more up to date. I close the browser and reopen eBay and things seem to be completely back up to date. But it is only up to date for a short while before it reverts back to old data once again.
I have caught eBay having relisted several of my sold items that I am no longer in possession of. I have had these items resell and have had to refund the buyer because the item no longer exists.
I have also noticed that items that I have manually closed the sale to suddenly be back live again. I recently had a large purge of items that I sold locally (brick & mortar). I kept close track of the items that I had listed for sale on eBay so that I could go in and end the listing if I sold them locally. Many of these items keep returning to my eBay store despite ending the listing.
I have been chasing my tail, trying to maintain the store, and it is mostly just performing cleanup from eBay continually posting sold items as actively for sale. It's getting old.
Is it me? Is it an attempt by eBay to force me to spend more time policing my store? This is getting extremely frustrating.
As an added jab, eBay sent me an email this week stating that I will be losing "Top Rated Seller" status due to the defects that I have had the last couple of weeks. It's their defects!
Thanks for listening.
