Active eBay Guaranteed Fit catalog error on Order 26-14758-72259
Hi! I am an international buyer from Uruguay and I need guidance to escalate a platform error.
The Problem:
I bought a 555 Steering Rack Outer Tie Rod End Kit (Order 26-14758-72259) relying on the eBay Guaranteed Fit green checkmark for my 2009 Honda Civic. However, the seller configured their fitment table incorrectly: the part only fits the 1.8L base trim and is physically shorter than OEM for my 2.0L Si trim, making it impossible and unsafe to install.
Current Status:
The seller's listing is still active today displaying the false Guaranteed Fit badge for 2009 Civic Si models.
The seller refuses to pay international return shipping to Thailand ("You have to send it back to me sir"), forcing me to cover freight for their listing mistake.
Standard customer support closed my request because the 30-day window expired while the package was in transit to South America.
Since this is a live platform catalog error verified by eBay's fitment tool (and not a buyer change-of-mind), standard support claims their automated system overrides their tools to issue a refund.
How can I get this escalated to Executive Support or an Appeals Manager so eBay can grant a manual refund under the Guaranteed Fit policy without requiring $100+ in return shipping to Thailand?
Thank you,
Mathias
