Accused of Selling a Knock off from Ebay Vendor
An Ebay vendor sent me an email stating that the item I am selling is a knock-off. This is blatently untrue since I have the original sales receipt and packing slip for the item that I bought directly from the manufacturer. I am worried that this vendor is discouraging the sale of my item. I cannot find a way on ebay to report this vendor. Is there any way thru ebay to defend myself?
I have changed my add to note that I have the original sales receipt and packing slip from the manufacturer.
This is the first time in over 10 yrs that I have been accused of selling a knock-off. I am seriously considering dumping ebay and selling my items thru a local consignment vendor.
Regards

·1 year agoIf the vendor just contacted you directly and that's it, you are in no immediate danger. Block and ignore as @comics-scifi-collectibles suggested.
If you receive a VeRO rights violation notice, that will be from the rights holder, not the vendor (unless somehow they are the same). That is serious and cannot be ignored, but it doesn't sound like that's the case.
Anyone can harass anyone they like over things like that, but you have tools to stop it, primarily by blocking the offending user.

Mentor1 year ago@brownclaire513 The seller is probably concerned about competition. Just ignore them and add them to your blocked buyer list> https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/BuyerBlock?
