Accused of counterfeiting
Hi, my listing has been removed due to being reported as counterfeit. The item is 100% genuine and I can provide proof. I take issue that I was not asked about this and now I have lost a sale.How do I get in touch with eBay to complain?

eBay won't accept proof, and the VeRO member couldn't care less. They just claim that the item is counterfeit because that's a handy excuse guaranteed to get eBay to remove the listing. My opinion is that some VeRO members simply don't want a secondary source for their product ... they want the customers who are in the market for that product to come spend the money with them, not with you.

OP3 years agoSounds about right 🙄 thank you for the advice 🙠I’ll sell on Vestiaire instead! Sorry eBay you’ve missed out on my fees and all of those for the future I’m so offended to be basically branded a criminal when it’s simply a case that a designer item doesn’t fit and I missed the return date like an idiot! Rant over 😂 thanks again x

·3 years agoThere's no need to complain to eBay. If you have a VeRO take down it's because the rights owner decided it was not authentic. Your proof of purchase is meaningless to eBay because receipts aren't the only qualifier. The receipt could be faked or from a store that's not one of their distributors, or someone could have purchased real and returned fake and the clerks put the returned fake item back on the shelf.
You won't be able to relist it unless the VeRO member faxes eBay and says it's okay for you to list it.
